Princess Taye-Taye

Well we had quite the birthday bash with our families for Taye Lynn a couple weekends ago.  It was a princess party and I had so much fun planning and making everything for it.  Was it over the top?...  completely, but it was so fun and girly.  Taye Lynn was so cute and was total princess from head to toe.  She loved her new sparkly pink shoes and was hilarious with them.  I tried them on the night before and it was like instantly she knew she was hot stuff.  She sat on a step and dangled her chubby little legs off and swung her feet around.  And then she went to crawl around and kept looking over her shoulder to make sure the shoes were still on her feet.  I was dying laughing.  How does she already know what bling is?  She also loved the necklace I made her for the occasion and didn't even try and take it off.  When I made it I wasn't so sure it would even be worn much before she tried to rip if off.  On the other hand, she would not leave her bracelet on.  Maybe I should have added more bling to the bracelet and she would have kept it on.  So anyways, when we first brought her out she was a little overwhelmed at the all the guests in their pink crowns and diamond rings (yes, even all the boys attending the party had to wear a pink crown... it was the rules and whatever Princess Taye Lynn says, goes)  We had dinner and ate subs from our favorite sandwhich place... Sam's Subs and they were so yummy.  We had lots of other good food.  Our family spoiled her and she got lots of fun toys and gifts and loved them all.  It was so cute because every gift she opened she truly loved and wanted to play with.  I was totally wrong about how I thought the whole cake experience was going to go down.  She is usually a crazy girl and I just thought she would dig into it, but she was not having it at first.  I think I made the cake to big.  Oh well, it was funny how long it took her to poke around at it.  Here are tons of pictures from the party.  Thanks everyone... it turned out perfect!

At first she was trying to figure out what was going on!
We had yummy tiara sugar cookies for dessert
The throne for the royal highness
Yes, even all the guys had to wear the pink crowns :)

Dosen't my mom look just like one of the teenagers

Typical Papa... always feeding Taye Lynn something

We took her shirt off so she could eat cake, but she just wanted to ride her new bus

Trying to cool off with Grandma in front of the fan... Taye wasn't quite sure what she thought

Not liking the cake at first
Okay, maybe this isn't soo bad
Now covered in cake
The princess got de-throned to the utility sink for an after-cake bath

THE END

Sorry about Sunday, we went camping and got home late saturday and were just too tired to make the drive. So now we'll have to come in two weeks so we're on your schedule. Hope to see you soon!

Could she be any cuter? What a doll! Is it your parents that have a place in Young? My husband's parents have a house there and I've never known anyone else that goes there!

Cutest party and cutest birthday girl!! I love the tiara cookies! Very cute Alyse. I'm SO glad I got to see Taye Lynn today in person. She's adorable and I think Griffin will warm up to her so they can be lovers:) It was so fun to go to lunch with you. You look so good and are always fun to talk to. We should do it again! Plus, I want to see your cute house. As for a car seat, Ryan is all about researching things before he buys them. So far, we've loved all of our baby purchases. We bought one of the Cosco brand carseats. It's great and not too pricey either. Let me know if you want to know more.

Hey Alyse--We got disconnected the other day,and I never gave you my address. Let me know when you get those rhinestones and I'll give it to you then :) How much are those headbands that you have on Taye? Just the headband without the flower? If they're not too much, I may have you pick me up a few of those too. Let me know! Thanks :)

This looks like the cutest little princess party ever! I love all of the details and especially the picture of her sparkly shoes! She's a doll! I can't believe our babies are one! I was so sad I missed Terri's boutique. I saw the cute sign in her yard, and then totally forgot. Will she be doing another one?

Hey Alyse! So I ordered the clips online and from Ribbons and Lace so you don't need to worry about finding those for me. If you can just send the rhinestones ASAP that would be great! Thanks again!
