HELP...Car Seat Dilemma

Okay, so I am looking at a new car seat for Taye Lynn so she can sit up now.  She is getting way too heavy to carry in the infant carrier and so it is time to purchase a new seat.  I need some advice/opinions on which seat to get.  So anyone that has any thoughts to add before our purchase, PLEASE share (even if I do not know you) on your seat and likes/dislikes, etc.  I want the safest seat out there, so any of you consumer reports people (uh um... Ashly), share your knowledge please.  Thanks so much!  There are too many choices out there, but I am contemplating the Britax Marathon???

We have the britax and its great and comfy too. shelly and brooke and a friend of mine just bought the maxi cosi which is also a good one. i think they are both good ut maybe the britax is a little bigger so it will last longer...not positive though. anyway, here in CA they had a britax at costco but Im not sure if it was the decathlon or what...you might want to check it out.

I will have to check into the Britax never heard of that one. We have the Alpha Omega Elite Convertable carseat. It runs about $170ish. I love how you can recline it and it is nice and cozy. It comes in many different fabrics depending on the store you get it at. We just got Kass one that is brown with pink @ Babies R Us. There are a lot of them with similar names so you have to make sure it is the Alpha Omega Elite one.

Hey girly! I just happened to be reading a top ten safest carseat article on Parents.com this morning because I am trying to find a car seat too. Anyways #1-#4 were infant rear facing seats and the #5 safest was the one that you are looking at, the Britax one. #6 was the Graco Comfort sport. I'm probably going to get the Graco one because it is less that half the price! Just thought I'd let you know what I saw! See ya later!

we also have the britax, but we got the roundabout.. and I am going to be making covers for those as well :) the britax roundabout is up to 40 or so lbs and it is rear facing and forward facing. Tati is using that one now..we are also getting close to her needing to change. you don't have to wait until Shumways have a party..you can come over anytime, let me know, my number is 213-6402

I think mine is the Alpha Omega Elite as well, and it's been great, but if I had all the money in the world to spend I'd get a Britax. I've heard great things about them and they're so much cuter!
